31 May 2021	Training workshop for rural women on "Food Manufacturing, Safety, and the Best Methods of Food Packaging and Preservation"	Within the framework of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND)” Project, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in partnership with the Municipality of Chaqdouf, is organizing a capacity-building workshop on “Food Manufacturing and Safety, and the Best Methods of Food Packaging and Preservation”. This workshop will build the capacities of the rural women in Chaqdouf in the fields of food manufacturing, personal hygiene, food safety, and best methods of packaging and labeling.
20 February 2018	Workshop on the SEEA Central Framework and SDG’s Indicators	The System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) is an important framework for analyzing the impact of economic policies on the environment. As well, it is a guide for integrating environmental information with national accounts to allow decision makers to sustainably manage natural resources that contributes to the achievement of sustainable development objectives. After the completion of the online course which contains 5 training modules on water, energy, land use, emissions and others, and 4 sessions with SEEA experts.
2 April 2021	Capacity-Building Workshop on “The Use of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technologies and Applications for Rural Development in Lebanon”	Within the framework of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND)” Project, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in partnership with the Municipality of Akkar Al-Atika, is organizing a capacity-building workshop on “The Use of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technologies and Applications for Rural Development in Lebanon”. This workshop will introduce rural women to renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and applications in rural areas and will raise their awareness on how they can enable and promote sustainable rural development, gender and youth empowerment, and economic benefits through their proper integration with productive activities.
