17 June 2019	Focus Group Meeting 2 on the Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in rural areas of the Arab Region in Lebanon	In the framework of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in rural areas of the Arab region (REGEND)”, the finalization of the selection of the local community and the Local Facilitating Team (LFT) in Lebanon necessitates a Focus Group Meeting. The objective of the meeting is to assess and finalize the selection of the local community where the project activities will be undertaken as well initiating the establishment of the Local Facilitation Team (LFT) in Lebanon and the selection of its members.

5 December 2014	National Workshop on Gender Statistics and Time-Use Survey	The Workshop on Gender Statistics and Time-Use Survey is convened under the project for "the Development of National Gender Statistics in Iraq," that is being implemented by ESCWA in cooperation with the Central Organization for Statistics and Information Technology (COSIT) and other UN agencies with funding from the United Nations Development Group Iraq Trust Fund.
1 June 2021	Training workshop for rural women on "Financial Management, Accounting, and the Economic Benefits of Access to Sustainable and Secure Energy"	Within the framework of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND)” Project, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in partnership with the Municipality of Chaqdouf, is organizing a capacity-building workshop on “Financial Management, Accounting, and the Economic Benefits of Access to Sustainable and Secure Energy”. This workshop will build the capacities of the rural women in Chaqdouf in the fields of financial management, accounting, cost accounting, and pricing of rural products. The workshop will also demonstrate the economic benefits of sustainable and secure energy, and its positive impact on rural development in Lebanon.

28 February 2020	Regional Consultation on “Shifting Towards Inclusive Resource Efficiency in the Arab Region to Accelerate Action on the Environmental Dimension of the Sustainable Development Agenda”	The Regional Consultation will result in an outcome document on ways of accelerating implementation of the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda to be submitted to the 2020 AFSD to inform regional input for the HLPF.
7 December 2017	The Capacity-building Workshop on Information Society Measurement: Core Indicators, Statistics, and Data Collection	The Capacity-building Workshop on Information Society Measurement: Core Indicators, Statistics, and Data Collection (Beirut, 7-10 June 2005) was organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Arab Regional Office and the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS). The Workshop was the first on building the capacity for statistical measurement of the information society in Western Asia and the Arab region.
5 December 2014	Arab Consultative Meeting on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)	"The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in partnership with the League of Arab States (LAS) and the United Nations Environment Programme/Regional Office for West Asia (UNEP/ROWA), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Equipment and Environment in Tunisia, is organizing an Expert Meeting on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will be held on 18 and 19 November 2013 in Tunisia.
