Workshop on Legal Informatics - An Arabic Perspective |
The workshop emphasizes the essential role of legal informatics in enhancing access and dissemination of legal information, in particular the information within the possession of governments and necessary for informing the public as to their rights and obligations, or that would assist them in doing so. The objective of the workshop is to create an ICT enabling environment to facilitate the administration of justice and harmonization among different judicial and legislative codes at the national level, as well as at the regional and international levels. |

Egypt second national training workshop to improve use of gender statistics |
The national training workshop aims to improve technical capabilities in using gender statistics to monitor SDG gender indicators and in disseminating, communicating and using statistics and indicators. The workshop will cover topics such as: integrating a gender perspective into official statistics; presenting, disseminating and communicating gender statistics; and improving gender statistics literacy among data users. |

The Water and Environment Issues Team, Sustainable Development and Productivity Division at the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA), in partnership with the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources of Germany (BGR), in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in Jordan, are organizing a training entitled "Negotiations and Dispute Resolutions Over International Shared Water Resources in Jordan." Capacity Building Workshop on the Integration of Renewable Energy Resources in the Transmission and Distribution Networks in the Arab Region |
