لقد انعكس أثر الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على الشعب الفلسطيني في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلّة، بما فيها القدس، وعلى السكان العرب في الجولان السوري المحتلّ. إذ أن العديد من الإجراءات والعقوبات التي اتّخذتها إسرائيل أدّت إلى تفاقم الأزمة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في الأرض الفلسطينيّة المحتلّة.
