"Established in 1970.under the umbrella of LAS.. It consists of the meteorological services heads in the Arab states and chaired by one of them through election by voting and in accordance with LAS regulation for a two years term. PCM holds its periodical meeting once a year. Special technical committee from the economical sector of LAS is taking care of the clerical and inter-communication work with the member states, and to convey the PCM meeting outcome to LAS Ministerial meetings for approvals."
