ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim paid a visit on 5 July 2017 to Lebanese former Prime Minister Tammam Salam. Alhakim was accompanied by his Deputy for Programme Support Khawla Mattar.

Discussions revolved around the general situation and developments in Lebanon and the region. The officials also discussed the role of ESCWA in supporting economic and social development policies in Member States.
